COMPRESSION SPRINGS
Compression springs are characterized by a space between the coils. The space between the coils depends on the size of the spring. When force is applied to the two ends of the spring, it compresses and its shape changes temporarily.
When the force is removed, the spring returns to its original shape. The larger the number of coils and the spring’s length, the stronger the spring is, but this is always proportional to the thickness of the wires and the outside diameter.
Compression springs can be manufactured in different shapes such as conical shapes, egg-like shapes etc.
TORSION SPRINGS
Torsion springs work with the exertion of a torque or a rotary force transmitting through the spring which rotates to its axis and not with compressive or traction forces, as in the case of compression and tension springs.
Like in the cases of other springs, when the torque stops the spring returns to its original form. Torsion springs are manufactured in a variety of shapes. Our company manufactures torsion springs of different shapes, with single or double coils.

TENSION SPRINGS
Tension springs work in the opposite way of compression springs. There are usually no spaces between the coils.
The coils are adjacent and the spring has hooks at its ends. There are different types of hooks which are meant to attach to the machinery applying the force. The machinery applies the tension force to the spring which stores the energy.
Like in the case of compression springs, tension springs will revert to their original shape when the external force stops. The tension force is determined by the thickness of the wires in relation to the external diameter.
